"I called Paul whilst researching my namesake, L Cpl Lewis Walton Moody, and his involvement in the war. At which point we hatched a plan to retrace his steps 100 years to the day that he set foot there in August 1914. Being able to step off the beaten track as and when we wanted, to do our own exploration of fields and long forgotten trenches made for a truly remarkable experience - one which will never be forgotten"

 

Paul, being the affable, but more importantly, passionate and knowledgeable character that he is, made this a truly memorable week away.
